The mission of the New Plymouth Cohousing Community is to establish an enduring cohousing neighbourhood based on the principles of social cooperation, environmental consciousness and sustainable design.
What is Cohousing?
It is a carefully designed, community focused neighbourhood where people own their own homes and share common facilities. The design of the New Plymouth Cohousing Neighbourhood will be inspired by Earthsong’s Eco-Neighbourhood.

If you support the cohousing project, or are interested in cohousing, please come! We have been championing and planning the vision to create a cohousing neighbourhood here in Ngamotu/New Plymouth for 6 years. We have accomplished so much and created a solid platform that is ready to go! Our next step in the journey: buying land. In order to move forward, we need more members. If you are inspired by the vision of cohousing and want to live in (or invest in) a cohousing neighbourhood in Ngamotu / New Plymouth, please come along. We hope to see you there!
